Industrial Assignments
Assignment Domains
Applied Research. Real-World Impact.
Assignments cover infrastructure risk assessment, supply chain resilience mapping, cyber-physical system auditing and security posture evaluation.
Industrial Assignments are organised around domains in which the institute's research is most directly applicable to operational decision-making. These domains frequently overlap, and many assignments draw on more than one of them to reflect the interconnected nature of modern infrastructure and industry.
Within each domain, the institute adapts its approach to the sector, scale and maturity of the client organisation, so that the analysis remains proportionate and the recommendations remain usable.
What this covers
- Infrastructure risk assessment: identification and prioritisation of physical, operational and systemic risks to critical assets
- Supply chain resilience mapping: tracing dependencies, single points of failure and exposure to disruption across supplier networks
- Cyber-physical system auditing: review of the interaction between digital controls and physical processes in industrial environments
- Security posture evaluation: assessment of protective measures, governance arrangements and preparedness against identified threats
- Cross-domain analysis: integrated review where risks in one domain affect performance in another
Organisations with requirements outside these domains are welcome to discuss them with the institute, as assignments can be shaped around specific needs.
