Rules and Regulations

The Rules and Regulations of Bharat Assets Protection Institute (B.A.P-I) establish a comprehensive governance framework that integrates ethical conduct, intellectual property discipline, and institutional accountability. These provisions ensure that all research, collaboration, and knowledge outputs are developed, managed, and disseminated in alignment with national resilience objectives, while safeguarding the institute’s intellectual and strategic integrity.

Operational, Ethical, And Legal Standards

The Rules and Regulations of Bharat Assets Protection Institute (B.A.P-I) define the operational, ethical, and legal standards governing all researchers, fellows, collaborators, and associated members. These provisions are mandatory and form the basis of engagement within the institute.

At the foundation lies a strict commitment to research integrity and authenticity. All work must be original, evidence-based, and free from plagiarism, fabrication, or misrepresentation. Proper citation practices, methodological clarity, and intellectual honesty are essential across all forms of research and publication.

Professional conduct within the institute must reflect discipline, mutual respect, and institutional responsibility. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited. Members are expected to engage constructively across all academic, digital, and collaborative platforms.

A critical pillar of the framework is Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) governance. All research outputs, including frameworks, models, datasets, publications, and design architectures developed under B.A.P-I, shall be treated as part of the institute’s intellectual ecosystem unless otherwise defined through formal agreement. While individual contributors retain due recognition, the ownership, usage, and dissemination rights of such work vest with the institute. Independent registration of patents, copyrights, or proprietary claims on institutional work without prior approval is not permitted.

Closely aligned is the provision on permission and controlled use of content. Any reproduction, publication, adaptation, or external dissemination of B.A.P-I research materials, whether published or in draft form, requires prior institutional authorization. This includes use of the institute’s name, logo, research frameworks, and associated intellectual constructs. These controls are essential to maintain consistency, confidentiality, and strategic coherence.

In matters of data security and confidentiality, all members are required to exercise strict discretion. Sensitive information, internal documents, and collaborative data must not be disclosed, shared, or utilized outside approved channels. Given the institute’s engagement with critical infrastructure and strategic domains, adherence to confidentiality protocols is non-negotiable.

The framework also establishes clear norms on collaboration and authorship. Contributions must be transparently acknowledged, and no individual shall claim undue credit or misappropriate intellectual work. Joint outputs must reflect proportional contribution and collective consent.

A defining provision is the principle of non-claim of stake, ownership, or institutional authority. Association with B.A.P-I does not confer any ownership, equity, or decision-making rights within the institute. Members operate solely in a professional and contributory capacity. No individual is authorized to represent the institute in official, legal, policy, or commercial matters without explicit approval. Personal views must not be projected as institutional positions unless formally designated.

Further, no member shall assert exclusive control or proprietary rights over any programme, research vertical, framework, or initiative developed under the institute. All such constructs remain within the institutional domain of B.A.P-I.

All activities and research engagements must maintain alignment with institutional objectives, ensuring that outputs contribute meaningfully to Bharat’s resilience ecosystem. Any engagement that creates conflict of interest, reputational risk, or deviation from the institute’s mission is not permitted.

The institute retains full authority to review, regulate, and enforce compliance. Any violation of these rules, including ethical breaches, unauthorized dissemination, misrepresentation, or improper claims, may result in suspension or termination of association, along with further institutional or legal action where necessary.

Collectively, these Rules and Regulations establish a disciplined, secure, and high-integrity environment, enabling B.A.P-I to function as a credible and strategically aligned research institution dedicated to strengthening national resilience.
