The Institute’s roadmap towards national and international recognition, academic affiliation and a place in rankings, built step by step on the quality of its work.
B.A.P-I began in 2020 as an idea of institutional foresight and is steadily becoming a national research and policy platform. Recognition, for an institution of this kind, is a gradual and purposeful process: it is earned through credible research, honest measurement, useful outputs and partnerships that serve the national interest.
01Where the Institute stands todayA young, purpose-driven institution
The Institute is presently formalising its institutional structure and affiliations. Its efforts are directed towards securing formal academic, policy and institutional linkages, strengthening its foundations, and positioning itself as a trusted contributor to Bharat’s architecture of national resilience and strategic self-reliance. Verified records of recognition received are published only once they exist, on the Recognition and Accreditation pages.
02The affiliation roadmapNational and international pathways the Institute intends to pursue
The Institute intends to seek engagement, registration or cooperation, as each platform’s rules permit, with:
NITI Aayog and Atal Innovation Mission
For research registration, innovation linkages and policy collaboration.
Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell
For academic linkage and research partnerships aligned with the National Education Policy.
DST, MHA and sector ministries
For thematic cooperation in resilience studies, critical infrastructure protection and national capacity building.
International platforms
Including UNDRR, OECD and UNDP India networks, for programmes on infrastructure resilience and sustainability governance.
These are intentions and pathways, not existing affiliations. Each will be announced only when formally established.
03Academic and knowledge recognitionCitations, repositories and partnerships
- Knowledge partnerships with universities, defence and strategic studies institutions and public policy centres.
- Indexing of the Institute’s journals and series in recognised academic repositories, with ISSN and ISBN registration.
- Citation of the Institute’s research in scholarly work and national publications on resilience and strategic governance.
- Peer review and editorial boards drawn from respected scholars and practitioners in India and abroad.
04Standards and registrationsQuality, security and data protection
The Institute plans to align its own management with recognised standards, including quality management (ISO 9001), information security (ISO/IEC 27001) and data protection consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and to obtain ISSN registration for its journals. Each is marked as upcoming until it is achieved.
05Recognition the Institute givesAwards, certifications and index listings
Separately from recognition it receives, the Institute confers recognition on others through its awards, certifications, empanelment and BNRI-linked rankings and index listings, always kept apart from its advisory work.
Our commitment: the Institute will never claim a recognition, ranking or affiliation it has not formally received. Its standing will rest on the quality and usefulness of its work.
